Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our dynamic engineering team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and deploying scalable cloud-based solutions with a strong emphasis on data processing and infrastructure optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement optimal cloud-based solutions.
• Define, document, and promote best practices for cloud application deployment and infrastructure management.
• Guide and mentor development teams to build cloud-native applications effectively.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of cloud-hosted applications.
• Develop solutions under the direction of lead architects using GCP, particularly in data engineering and advanced analytics.
• Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle: planning, design, development, testing, and QA.
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, document solutions, and proactively prevent recurrence.
• Provide training and documentation to support new cloud-based technologies and processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software design and application development.
• Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially with managed services and data engineering tools.
• Strong proficiency with BigQuery , Composer , Airflow , and cloud orchestration techniques.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and modern DevOps practices.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver robust, scalable solutions.
• GCP Data Engineer certification is a plus.
