Position
This part-time courier role supports the safe and timely transport of medical specimens and supplies in the Reno area. This is a new market launch , and you’ll be among the first couriers serving this region. Couriers use a company vehicle and are expected to handle deliveries with care, follow protocols, and provide excellent customer service.

On-time and reliable. Willing to perform light office duties. Possible extra hours assisting the Regional Office Manager.

Schedule:

  • Thursday–Saturday, 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM PDT
  • Approx. 15 hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Pick up and deliver medical specimens and supplies on schedule
  • Prioritize specimen integrity and time-sensitive deliveries
  • Communicate clearly with dispatch and clinic staff to coordinate pickups and troubleshoot issues
  • Use routing software or GPS and update delivery logs in real-time
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and supply inventory
  • Ensure proper storage conditions for temperature-sensitive specimens (e.g., ice packs, biohazard bags)
  • Complete and submit the required documentation accurately
  • Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and DOT guidelines
  • Perform daily vehicle checks and report any maintenance needs
  • Represent the company professionally and courteously
  • Assist with occasional cross-coverage or backup routes
  • Assist with training new couriers in the Reno area
  • Perform light office duties and assist the Regional Office Manager with supply handling as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • At least 2 years of driving experience
  • Active smartphone with data plan
  • Comfortable driving at night and in varying weather conditions
  • Strong sense of direction and familiarity with navigation tools
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, organized, and on-time
  • Personal liability auto insurance (required for eligibility to drive a company vehicle)
  • Ability to lift 25–30 lbs and frequently get in/out of the vehicle
  • All positions require time zone awareness, including the impact of daylight saving time, as we are a multi-state organization with teams and partners across different U.S. time zones. Clear communication and timely coordination are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous courier, delivery, or logistics experience
  • Familiarity with medical, clinical, or specimen transport protocols
  • Experience driving during night hours or in rural areas
  • Good communication skills and comfort using mobile apps/software
  • Knowledge of Reno, Sparks, and the surrounding roadways
  • Availability for occasional route coverage or holiday shifts

Pay:

  • $18.00/hour
  • Eligible for an 8% differential for hours worked between 8:00 PM and 4:00 AM and on weekends
  • Discretionary Bonus Incentive of up to 10% of Pay Depending on Merit.
  • Payday is weekly on Fridays
