Sodexo is currently seeking a Retail Manager 2 for the Yale New Haven Hospital's-St. Raphael Campus (500 beds) in New Haven, CT.

As Retail Manager 2 , this role is responsible for the campuses only cafeteria, Peet's Coffee kiosk and 24h micro market. Reporting to the Food Operations Manager 3, this role will manage all aspects of both front and back of the house retail operations including menu/recipe adherence, inventory, staff training and development. This position will work collaboratively and support a team of 30-40 Sodexo frontline associates, and be responsible for Sodexo retail standards, cash controls and FMS (food management systems).

What You'll Do


  • utilize Sodexo operational standards and solutions to ensure consistency, efficiency and quality in the delivery of catering offering to the client;
  • own and drive the operational excellence of the catering department and communicates a clear sense of strategy and purpose;
  • develop and execute catering initiatives to drive sales growth and achieve catering revenue forecasts;
  • clearly set roles and expectations for the team;
  • monitor team performance and provide regular coaching/feedback;
  • reward and recognize employees;
  • anticipate client needs and provide subject matter expertise;
  • ensure compliance with all HAACP standards and safety policies in all culinary operations; and/or
  • develop and execute catering initiatives to drive sales growth and achieve catering revenue forecasts
