Job Description

Salary: $110,000 - 150,000 per year Requirements:

• I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• I have a minimum of 5 years of experience in software QA.
• I possess a comprehensive understanding of industry testing practices, including but not limited to: black, gray, and white box testing; directed testing; smoke testing; system testing; performance, stress, duration, and scalability testing; topology testing; failover/disaster recovery testing; automated testing; integration and unit testing; usability testing; acceptance testing; and validation and verification.
• I have experience working with hardware and/or hardware emulators (preferred).
• Familiarity with SQL, XML, JSON, and C# is advantageous.
• I am knowledgeable about microservice architecture and technologies such as Kubernetes, Ansible, and Helm (preferred).
• I can thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle unscheduled events efficiently.
• I possess strong prioritization skills to manage multiple simultaneous issues and tasks.
• I am capable of working independently and taking initiative with minimal supervision.
• I have excellent verbal and written communication, active listening, and interpersonal abilities.
• I have experience working with Agile development methodology.

Responsibilities:

• I will collaborate within the Software QA Team to validate a complex, distributed, multi-threaded, multi-processor system, ensuring quality in mission-critical product releases across multiple production sites.
• I will test new product features and conduct regression testing on existing functionalities.
• I will work with development teams to create test plans, test suites, and test cases, ensuring thorough verification and validation of the software stack through both manual and automated processes.
• I will test intricate features or multiple simple features from requirements to release with minimal supervision.
• I will submit, track, and verify defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
• I will write documentation, tests, scripts, and tools to facilitate best testing practices.
• I will participate in Agile/SCRUM activities such as stand-ups, grooming, planning, and retrospectives, ensuring the team operates effectively and manages its workload.
