JOB SUMMARY
SENIOR COUNSELOR
The primary role of the Senior Counselor is to provide supervision and oversight of one group of campers at Camp Venture, a summer day camp for children with and without developmental/intellectual disabilities. The Senior Counselor ensures that campers are safe while encouraging engagement in activities and socialization with fellow campers.
The Senior Counselor reports to the Camp Director.
JUNIOR COUNSELOR
The primary role of the Junior Counselor is to assist the Senior Counselor with the oversight of one group of campers at Camp Venture, a summer day camp for children with and without developmental/intellectual disabilities. The Junior Counselor will assist with supervision, assist with providing a safe camp environment and encourage campers to engage in activities and to socialize.
The Junior Counselor reports to the Camp Director.
Qualifications
Must be 16 years of age or older. Experience working with children a plus. Experience with people with Developmental Disabilities a plus.
Location: Stony Point, NY
Senior Counselor Pay Rate: $1500 for the 7-week season
Junior Counselor Pay rate: $1000 for the 7-week season
Monday – Friday: 9:30am – 3:00pm
