Job Summary

Location : Cardinal Ritter College Prep
Reports To : Head Freshmen Coach and Athletic Director
Season : Winter Sport

Cardinal Ritter College Prep is seeking a dedicated Assistant Coach for the Freshmen Boys Basketball Team. The coach will work closely with the freshmen head coach to teach fundamentals, reinforce discipline, and foster early player development within a supportive and competitive environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting freshmen practices and managing game-day operations.
• Instruct athletes on fundamental skills, teamwork, and game awareness.
• Support academic accountability and team expectations.
• Foster a team culture built on sportsmanship and responsibility.
• Communicate regularly with athletes, coaches, and staff.
• Support overall program goals and alignment with varsity and JV levels.

Job Requirements

• Experience playing or coaching basketball at the high school level preferred.
• Strong communication, patience, and mentorship qualities.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• MSHSAA certification or eligibility.
• Commitment to evenings and weekend availability during winter season.
